Chapel No. 1 of the Mor Behnam Rock Monastery is located in the rocky area north of the Deyrulzafaran Monastery, east of the Eskikale (Qelit Mera) neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin province. To the east of the Mor Behnam Rock Monastery, the collapsed southwest facade of this rock-carved chapel was later rebuilt with a wall of cut stone and rubble stone. The chapel is entered through a corridor on the south side, 0.75 m wide, 1.90 m long and 1.60 m high.
