The Cevheriye Fountain is located in the Ulu Camii neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin province. The fountain bears no construction inscription, so it is not known when or by whom it was built. However, judging by its construction technique, materials and plan, it is thought to date from the 12th-13th centuries. Built using masonry, the fountain was made with both cut stone and rubble stone. With its pointed arch, it belongs to the group of free-standing public square fountains. The fountain niche of this single-basin structure is 2.0 m wide, 1.30 m deep and 1.80 m high.
