The Yenikapi (Bab-i Cedid) Bathhouse lies in the Yenikapi neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin Province. The bathhouse bears no construction inscription, but records note that it was an endowment of the Masjid and Madrasa of Melik Muzaffer. From this it is thought that the bathhouse was built by Melik Muzaffer between 1258 and 1285/86. Built in masonry technique, it was made of cut and rubble stone. From the surviving remains of the now-ruined bathhouse, it is understood to have consisted of dressing-room, warm-room and hot-room sections.
