The Sheikh Muhammed Zirrar Mosque lies in the Sar neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin Province. According to the inscription just above the entrance leading into the mosque, the structure was built in the late 17th century. Cut and rubble stone were used in its construction. The mosque has a rectangular plan with an iwan-fronted courtyard. The prayer hall is reached through a rectangular door opening, 1.36 m wide, 1.15 m deep and 2.10 m high, set within a pointed-arched niche on the south side of the courtyard.
