Editor's Note
The Mor Mihail (Burc) Church lies in the Saracoglu neighbourhood of the Artuklu district of Mardin Province. Syriac sources state that the church was built in AD 185 and record it as the oldest church in Mardin. Two manuscript books written in the 15th century, recounting the lives of Saint Mor Mihail and his sister Siras, also attest to the church's history.
