The mosque, which bears no construction inscription, was built in the 15th century during the Aq Qoyunlu period in honour of Sheikh Cabuk, a messenger to the Prophet Muhammad. Restored in various periods, it uses finely cut and rubble stone. Set on a rectangular area, the mosque has an L-shaped courtyard.
