Editor's Note
The bridge crosses the Seyhan Stream on the Diyarbakir-Surgucu road. From its plan, materials and technical features, the structure is understood to have been built in the 18th-19th centuries (Yildiz, 2010, p.140). Surviving to the present through repairs in various periods, it is sound and still in use. The bridge runs east-west. It belongs to the group of flat-decked, round-arched bridges with five spans. Its deck is 48.50 m long, 5.80 m wide and about 5.60 m high. Pointed arches were used as load-bearing elements in the piers. The bridge piers are 1.70 m.
