The Tomb of Pire Merdan lies 1.87 km south of the Elmabahce (Tizyan) neighbourhood in the Artuklu district of Mardin Province. It is said that the figure named Pire Merdan was one of the twelve caliphs (deputies) of Sultan Seymus (Sheikh Musa Ezzuli), who is respected and beloved in the region. As the tomb bears no construction inscription, the date it was built is unknown. Cut stone and rubble stone were used in its construction. The tomb is surrounded by an enclosure wall.
