The Mor Aho Monastery stands on a high hill, 1 km northwest of Arıca (Kafro) village in the Gercüş district of Batman Province. The church has a nearly square, rectangular plan consisting of a naos, a bema, pastophorion chambers and a narthex on the west. The apse and altar section is notable for its cross and plant-motif ornamentation. Recently restored, the monastery has largely lost its original character because of the additions made to it.
