The Akburç Village Cisterns are located on a rocky outcrop known as Kelehe Hill, to the southwest of Akburç village in the Gercüş district of Batman Province. A total of five cisterns have been identified in the area. Their mouth diameters range from 0.75 to 1.05 m and their depths from 0.45 to 0.65 m. Today their interiors are filled with soil, rubble stone and rainwater; the cisterns are no longer in use and have lost their function.
