Editor's Note

Although the construction date of the Deli Gonuller Mansion is not precisely known, an Armenian inscription on its first floor shows that it was repaired in the late 19th century. The building consists of two stories. On the west, the courtyard is entered down one step through a wooden door of the type called "door within a door," clad in neatly cut reddish-brown stone with a depressed arch. To the left of the courtyard entrance, a staircase, formed of monolithic stones embedded in the wall up to mid-height and built of wood above that, provides access to the first floor.
