Editor's Note
It was built by Timurtas Pasha in AH 1120 (AD 1704). The mosque, which underwent repairs in various periods, was, by the order of Abdul Hamid II, demolished entirely except for the minaret by Muhammed Arif Pasha, the governor of Maras, and rebuilt in AH 1316 / AD 1900. While the mosque's old minaret was preserved, a new minaret was also built. It was severely damaged in the earthquakes of February 6, 2023. Both of its minarets collapsed.
