Editor's Note
Although it is not known who built the Unsallar Mansion or when, its architectural and structural features suggest it is a Late Ottoman-period building. The structure has an iwan-and-front-hall plan scheme. Set on sloping terrain and facing south, the building was over time divided into two separate sections, and it comprises a ground floor plus two upper floors. On the west facade there is a flat, sheet-metal-clad projection supported by wooden struts. The ground floor is entered through a stone-arched door on the west side, of the type known as a "door within a door." This section uses the ground floor and the first floor.
