Editor's Note
The monastery stood at the foot of Kozan Castle. Today little remains of its buildings. According to its now-lost inscription, it was built in 1809–1810. The monastery complex, which spread over a wide area, is known to have included the Church of Surp Krikor Lusavorich, two chapels, a seminary, and numerous additional structures. In the damage assessment carried out after the February 6 earthquakes, the structure, designated KO-53, showed no earthquake damage.
