Editor's Note
To the north of the complex stands an inscriptionless fountain of cut stone, with a pointed-arched niche. Topped with a roof sloping to both sides, this fountain is thought to belong to the complex. One distinctive feature of the complex, built in 1619, is that it inspired the great Turkish poet Faruk Nafiz Çamlıbel's poem "Han Duvarları" (The Walls of the Inn).
