Editor's Note
The Ulukışla Kamereddin Han stands on the Konya-Adana-Ayas caravan route, 15 km southwest of Ulukışla. The inn lies in an area surrounded by Seljuk-era defensive structures, and this road was an important corridor linking Central Anatolia with the Mediterranean. Although the inn takes its name from Emir Kamereddin, there is no firm explanation for this. Its construction date is uncertain, but it is thought to date to the first half of the 13th century. The inn follows the typical Seljuk caravanserai plan, with a three-aisled covered section and iwans built around a courtyard.
