Kırkgöz Han lies 24 km northwest of Antalya, on the road to Burdur. It stands about 10 km past the turn-off for the village of Yeniköy, next to a brick factory. The han sits beside the Kırkgöz springs, on the old Antalya road. It is the first han on the Antalya-Burdur road and, together with the Evdir, İncir and Susuz caravanserais, lies on the route linking the coast to the interior. It takes its name from the nearby "Kırkgöz" springs and appears on some old maps as "Kirk Han." Kırkgöz Han was built between 1237 and 1246 by the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan II.
