Editor's Note
The Kabasakal Paşa Mosque was first built as a small mosque (mescit) and was repaired and enlarged in the Hijri year 1118 (1706 CE). It was partly destroyed during the war with the French in 1920. The surviving parts of the mosque were used by the municipality. In 1955 the mosque grounds were enlarged and the mosque was rebuilt.
