It was restored in 2016. Built in the first half of the 18th century in Gaziantep, it was commissioned following a dream seen by Ayşe, a sick young girl. In her dream, a white-bearded old man told Ayşe to build a mosque and madrasa on the site of today's mosque. Ayşe recounted her dream to her father, Hacı Ali Ağa. A wealthy and charitable man, the father began construction at once to fulfill his daughter's wish. But Ayşe died before the mosque was finished. As she had willed, her trousseau and jewelry were sold to carry on the building of the mosque.
