As it was found that the area covering the hill north-west of Kale Hill and the flat ground on which the Old Aşağıoba Mosque stands contains remains of an ancient farm settlement, it was decided to register the area shown on the attached 1/25000 scale map, pursuant to Articles 3 and 6 of Law no. 2863, as a First-Degree Archaeological Conservation Site, and to register the Old Mosque, the Kalegediği Fountain and the structural remains north of Kale Hill as an 'Immovable Cultural Asset Requiring Protection' on account of their cultural-heritage character.
