Editor's Note
The Old Wedding Hall. It is thought to have been built between 1945 and 1950. It was one of the Art Deco-style casino-pavilions built in recreation areas for socialising, entertainment and dining. It met the same fate as many such casino buildings (Taksim, İzmir Golf, the Çubuk Dam Lakeside Casino). Through oversight, it was demolished by public authorities, even as the result of a competition project. The Bülent Ecevit Cultural Centre now stands in its place.
