Editor's Note
The construction of this historic mosque in the village of Yakacık dates back to the Mamluk state. Its foundations were laid in the 14th century, but it was destroyed in the 1822 Aleppo earthquake and repaired during the Ottoman period. It was restored and reopened for worship in 2023.
