Story
In the Yüreğir district of Adana, the Ruins of Mopsos, one of the silent witnesses of the ancient world, are situated at a crossroads of civilizations. Brick and stone fragments scattered over the limestone ground reveal the presence of a layered history stretching from the Hittite period to the Hellenistic age. Known by the name Mopsos, who in ancient mythology was renowned as a seer, this old city was a strategic trade center of Cilicia. Most of the artifacts brought to light through archaeological excavations are exhibited in the Adana Archaeology Museum.
