Editor's Note
The walls of this tomb, built of cut stone, were later plastered over. The eaves of its lead-covered dome are tiled. There is a ventilation opening beside the tomb door and a window on the side facing the courtyard. A door leads into a concrete-floored courtyard, with dwellings on either side, and the tomb side of the courtyard is enclosed by a low stone wall. Within the boundaries of Hatay Province there are 51 sites (tombs, shrines, springs, etc.) attributed to the Prophet Khidr (peace be upon him), and this tomb, set within a street to the southwest of the Ertugrul Affan Mosque, is regarded as the oldest of them.
