This is the cemetery where soldiers who fought on behalf of France during the occupation of Iskenderun after the First World War were buried. The French Military Cemetery is entered from the east through a large gate with three big rounded arches in the middle. According to the inscriptions on the gate, soldiers from the 1st and 4th French Military Divisions lie here. Beyond the gate, you reach the burial ground, which is laid out as four plots arranged around a cross-shaped path. Outside this area, there are also symmetrically arranged plots in the southern section. The cemetery contains 300 graves in total.
