Editor's Note
Built in the 1920s in the "Eclectic Architecture" style by Şekip Nakip, it is one of the finest examples of this type of building. The building, designed with balconies, makes use of stone vaults and arches. Its first occupant was Suphi Bereket, the first President of Syria, and his family. This beautiful and noble building of Antakya was also used as the "French Residence" and as the "Special Accounting Office."
