Editor's Note
The Alanya Inner Citadel Bath was built in the first half of the 13th century and stands on the slope to the east of the Inner Citadel. The building has reached the present day in ruins, with its roofing system largely collapsed and its walls damaged. The bath has a rectangular plan; the entrance is on the east facade, and there are vaulted and domed spaces between the warm room (ılıklık) and the hot room (sıcaklık). Brick and rubble stone were used in its construction, and the decoration is limited, with only simple painted ornamentation on the dome pendentives of the warm room. The building is believed to have been built during the reign of Alaeddin Keykubad I.
