Editor's Note
The Şikârhane Pavilion, located near the ruins of ancient Selinus in the Gazipaşa district of Antalya, was originally built as a Late Roman period tomb monument. The structure was later repurposed and rebuilt by the Anatolian Seljuks in the 13th century. The rectangular building has interior spaces covered with circular and barrel vaults, and on its north facade there is a pointed-arch iwan. The facades are decorated with red zigzag frescoes on cream-colored plaster, and remains from antiquity were reused in its construction.
