Editor's Note
The Tercüman Building was constructed in 1974 along the D100 highway in Istanbul's Zeytinburnu district as the printing and administration facility of the Tercüman newspaper. Designed by Günay Çilingiroğlu and Muhlis Tunca, it was remembered as an iconic structure of 20th-century Turkish architecture for its unusual form, but was demolished on 4 December 2023 because of earthquake risk.
