Editor's Note
The Haydarpaşa Pier is a historic ferry terminal on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, standing just in front of Haydarpaşa Station. Designed by architect Vedat Tek, it was built to link the station with the European side of the city. The rectangular cut-stone building comprises three halls, one main and two side; a tiled panel on its seaward facade bears the Hijri date 1334 (1915-1916).
