The Tomb of Hayreddin Barbarossa stands in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, opposite the Sinan Paşa Mosque and on the same square as the Barbarossa Monument. Built by the architect Mimar Sinan, it is octagonal with a single dome and two tiers of windows. It is the final resting place of the Ottoman fleet admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa, whose naval victories secured Ottoman dominance over the Mediterranean in the mid-16th century.
