Story
Set into the garden walls of the Ihlamur Pavilion, this fountain is an elegant example of 19th-century Ottoman palace architecture. Located in the garden of the Ihlamur Pavilion, built in 1855 during the reign of Sultan Abdulmecid, this fountain is one of the ordinary yet important parts of palace life. With the sharpness of its stonework and the melodic sounds of flowing water, it reflects the aesthetic sensibility of the era. The marble and stone materials used in the fountain's construction display the characteristic features of Ottoman decorative art.
