Standing in the center of Niğde on Alaaddin Hill, across from the Alaeddin Mosque, the Hatıroğlu Fountain was commissioned in 1267 during the Anatolian Seljuk period by Hatır oğlu Mesud, an emir's son. Built on a rectangular plan from local travertine stone, its front facade features a shallow rounded-arch niche containing an inscribed marble plaque. Renovated in 1962 by the General Directorate of Endowments, the fountain exemplifies Seljuk civil architecture through its simplicity and material, and remains functional today.
