Editor's Note
The Kethüda Mehmet Efendi Fountain is an Ottoman-era fountain in the Bedreddin neighbourhood of the Beyoğlu district, in front of the Kasımpaşa exit of Şişhane Metro Station. Built of cut stone in the Tulip Era style, it is lead-roofed with a marble-clad front facade. It retains its inscription and has been restored, though its water no longer runs.
