Editor's Note
This Ottoman-era fountain on Melek Hoca Avenue in the Hırka-i Şerif neighbourhood of the Fatih district was, according to its surviving inscription, built by the 17th-century grand vizier Öküz Mehmed Paşa. Made of küfeki stone in the classical style, it adjoins the Öküz Mehmed Paşa Mosque of the same name.
