Editor's Note
The Horhor Fountain (also known as Horhor Acı Çeşme) is a fountain in the Fatih district of Istanbul. Sources differ on its origin, with some attributing it to Suleiman I and others to an earlier period. According to its repair inscription it was restored around 1876. Its water flowed until 1966, and a wooden house stood atop it until it was demolished in 2008.
