Editor's Note
Rami Barracks (also Asâkir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye Barracks) is a historic building in the Rami quarter of the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul. Built during the reign of Mustafa III in the Ottoman period, it served the army into the Republican era. Transferred to the Istanbul Municipality in 1985 and long used as a dry-goods market, the restored barracks reopened in 2023 as the Rami Library.
