Set at the entrance of the Kepez City Forest in Antalya, this monument is a giant concrete relief sculpture of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's face. It was unveiled on 10 November 2008, the 70th anniversary of Atatürk's death. Made of cement, iron and sand and painted gold, the 35-metre-high, 25-metre-wide monument is the third tallest statue in Turkey. Beside it stand an artificial waterfall and a relief inscription of Atatürk's words, "Without a doubt, Antalya is the most beautiful place in the world."
