Editor's Note
The Bayezid II Hamam is a historic bathhouse on Divanyolu Street in Istanbul. Built as part of the külliye of the nearby Bayezid II Mosque, it was one of the largest hamams in the city. Archival records indicate it was endowed to provide income for the foundation of Gülbahar Hatun, mother of Sultan Selim I, and is thought to have been completed between 1500 and 1505.
