Seljuk Capitals: from Konya to Sivas

The 13th-century architectural heart of Anatolia.

Konya was the capital of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum, Sivas its second seat. Between them sits Divriği's UNESCO-listed mosque, Erzurum's twin-minaret madrasah, Kayseri's Hunad Hatun complex. Turkish-Islamic stonework matured along this exact corridor.
