The Çeç Tumulus is an archaeological site near the Avanos district of Nevşehir, at the Çeç hill locality, and is one of the largest mounds in the Cappadocia region. Standing about 32 metres high, it is compared in form to the Nemrut Tumulus in Adıyaman. Built up from stones gathered from the surroundings and resembling a small mountain, it still bears the traces of a path and steps leading to its summit.
