The Roman Baths of Ankara, in the Altındağ district, are the ruined remains of an ancient Roman bath complex built atop a mound whose earliest layer dates to the Phrygian period. Uncovered by excavations in 1937-1944, they have since been opened to the public as an open-air museum.
