Editor's Note
Sedir Island, also known as Cleopatra Island, is a small island in the Gulf of Gökova off the coast of Ula in Muğla Province. It is famous for its beach of seashell sand; legend says the sand was brought by ship for Cleopatra, though research suggests it formed from local sandstone erosion. The beach is strictly protected to prevent removal of sand.
