Editor's Note
Kilise Tepe is a mound in Mersin Province, just west of the Göksu River, about 20 km from Mut and 1 km north of Kışlaköy. Also known as Maltepe, its name means "church-hill" in Turkish, referring to a church ruin on the site, though the mound's original name is unknown. The site is thought to have been part of the land of Tarhuntašša, formed when the Hittite king Muwatalli II moved the capital.
