Eskiyapar Höyük is a settlement mound on the Hüseyinabad plain, south of the city of Çorum and about 6 km west of the Alaca district. With a diameter reaching 350 m and a height of 13 m, it is one of the larger mounds of the region; the overlying village was relocated in 1983-84 to halt damage and allow excavation. It lies almost at the geometric centre of major Hittite centres such as Alacahöyük, Boğazköy and Şapinuva (Ortaköy).
