Editor's Note
Demirci Hüyük is an excavated settlement in northwestern Anatolia dating from the Early and Middle Bronze Age, located on the western edge of the Eskişehir plain about 25 km west of Eskişehir, on the Bilecik-Eskişehir provincial border. Because the plain filled with sediment from the Neolithic onward, the first inhabitants' level was excavated 7-8 m below the present plain, and the cultural deposit is about 12 m thick. A burial ground called Sariket lies on a terrace 250 m west of the settlement and was used as a necropolis in both the Early and Middle Bronze Ages.
