Gavurtepe Höyük is an ancient settlement mound (höyük) southeast of Manisa, southwest of the Alaşehir district, on the Gediz Plain along the west bank of the Sarıkız Stream. It sits on a hill with notably steep and rugged slopes. Its position allowed access both to settlements to the west and to the western settlements of Hittite territory, and it also lies along the routes toward Balıkesir and Denizli via the Gediz Valley.
