Horoztepe is a settlement mound just east of the town of Erbaa in Tokat Province, dated mainly to around 2300 BC, with some finds reaching back to the 4th millennium BC. It stands at about 325 m elevation with a diameter of roughly 300 m. Belonging to the Hattian culture, the structure, form and decoration of its finds resemble those of Alacahöyük.
