Seleucia Pieria is an ancient city about 35 km west of Antakya, south of Musa Dağı, in the Samandağ district of Hatay. The region's history reaches back to the Paleolithic. The ancient city had a harbor, and its remains, stretching from Çevlik to Mağaracık, are surrounded by tunnels and caves; because of the many caves it contains, the area is known as Mağaracık.
