The ancient city of Teos stands on the hills overlooking the Aegean landscape in the Seferihisar district of İzmir. Founded by the Ionian civilization from Phocaea, this necropolis sheltered the dead of Aegean civilizations for centuries. Rows of stone structures, ceramics, and inscriptions tell of the rich cultural heritage of the Classical and Hellenistic periods.
